Dismantling a gen-2 (AZE0) 24kWh Nissan Leaf Li-ion battery, fresh out of the car after an upgrade. It's NOT from a wrecked car unlike some other batteries out there. 48 modules are available. Selling the modules only.
Each module is 2S2P configuration, 7.6V nominal, holding 38.72 Ah as reported by the car. The watt-hour capacity is 295 Wh per module (59% SOH).
Maximum peak charge and discharge currents are 100A and 200A, respectively.
Module's dimensions are 223x35x302mm (excluding terminals), weight is 3.7Kg
The battery has been discharged down to 37% for the best storage life.
Nissan Leaf battery modules are popular for building a powerwall, solar energy storage system, off-grid kit for a bach, as well as RV and motorhome batteries. They will easily outlast AGM deep cycle batteries, and they are so much lighter. They also have the best safety record among other Lithium ion batteries used in similar applications.
Currently pick up only in Auckland, but you can organize a freight company like Chemcouriers to pick these up.
