I put in 4 100ah bateries in parallel with a renogy 500 battery monitor. I have no load on the p-. Ihave 400ah and 100% on my monitor with 12.7 battery reading. I have a small 12v tv on. Everything else is o on the monitor. Will my amp hours go down with heavier use and will my % on my monitor show this reduction.

If you mean that you didn't put any loads on P-, then you've wired it improperly, and it won't work.
All loads and chargers should be connected to P-. Failure to do so will mean the SoC is never correct.
