I know this forum says "solar", but this topic looks like it may be appropriate and perhaps there are some experts. I have a situation where a generator is more appropriate than solar (power goes out in snow storms). I currently use a lead-acid inverter-charger like in an RV (Heart Interface Freedom), but would like to switch to a 5kwh Tesla Li-ion unit.
Question is, what is a good charger? I would like it to handle about 2kw. I did find one on Alibaba <https://www.alibaba.com/product-detail/Customized-2000W-series-36V-40A-48V_62103400913.html>, but it seems like there should be more.
In particular, it seems like my current Heart unit adjusts its output when the voltage from the generator drops (constant voltage, less current). I'm hoping to find some experience in this area...
