In my shopping, I ran across a big SG 1800W
Has an internal 80Ah SLA.
WEIGHS A TON!
Anyway, the sla is at 0.26V, so likely trash, but I clip on a small sla, and hook up to my scc and see what I see.
The battery is taking a charge!
Doubtfully it will recover, but one can dream.
The thing has solar AND wind inputs!
AND it has anderson175 connection for battery chaining runtime.
Anyway, it powers up, puts out 120V, and the ac charging works.
I haven't tested the solar inputs yet, not enough sun when I got it home, but it all seems to work.
I can build a massive LFP in the internal bay. Looks like I could fit over 200Ah internally.

Looking over the charging parameters, it says 13.7 to 14.8V
That is JUST outside LFP specs, and with a quality bms should be fine.
Looking good to me.
Another steal off ebay!

Interesting unit. The Wind input has 400W of power compared to 140W for solar input. The AC charger is rated at 5A (60W).

it is odd...
The manual recommends 90W panels for each battery, up to 20 batteries...

I left it charging on my small solar generator overnight, looks like it absorbed 200Wh overnight, and solar kicked in about 6AM... battery voltage is reading 14V, 3W charging still...
The battery might be good!

Well... I may have spoken too soon...
All day it soaked up solar, when the light dimmed, the battery quickly dipped to 10.9...
most likely the battery is not going to recover.
I might remove it, and put it in the suburban to charge in full sun a few days.
my house panel barely puts out 10 w because of the trees in the back.
I can get 300 in the burb.

Does anybody have a reputable company that does portable diagnostic and repair?
