EG4 6000xp system design

I want to put this on here to make sure I’m understanding correctly the components of the eg4 6000xp. 6000xp+14.3kwh indoor + 20 Hyperion 400w /500bifacial panels

Located in Pennsylvania. This is going to be COMPLETELY OFFGRID NO ELECTRICITY. I’m going to be running a small house with this system. Range will be propane, wood boiler will heat water. The only loads I will have will be

1.5hp Grundfos Soft start pump. 240v (9.2a)

Fridge

Outdoor wood stove, Pumps and fans

Lights

And occasionally clothes washer, tv and other smaller stuff if im able to.

I have a 200amp panel box. What would be the best way to wire the 6000xp to the panel box. Could I wire it directly to the lugs? If not would I use a 50amp double pole breaker? Since it can supply surge of 12000w/120v=100amps or 50amp at 240!? But in my panel it will only supply each leg with 3000w continuously so I should make sure that larger loads are on different legs. It’s a new house so panel isn’t grounded yet but I’m seeing it should have a grounding rod and the N+G bond should be in there and turned off in the 6000xp. Would I disable the N+G bond on a generator if it was connected to the chargeverter? I’m going too wire 10 Hyperion 400w in series for 370VOC at 13.79 amps and have two strings. Do solar panels need grounded?? Will the 6000xp work fine with no WiFi and does it somehow connect to phone or computer through a cable? Any insight is appreciated.

Yes

50a is the maximum continuous output.
50a of 120v on each leg, or 50a of 240v .

Correct

No

The frames do.
Run an EGC with the PV wires from the array to the inverter ground bar.
Will the 6000xp work fine with no WiFi
Yes, as long as you don't want to do firmware updates or use the EG4 monitoring.
and does it somehow connect to phone or computer through a cable?
No, sadly the dongle is the only way it connects to other devices.

You can buy a hard wired RJ module and go directly to your network via CATxx

BTW, I'm mothballing my two 6000XP, had two Magnum's 4448PAE' in boxes that just went up on the wall today. IMHO the 6000XP it doesn't like true "off grid" with a generator and I'm not taking more EG4 koolaid with a chargeverter. Yesterday with three other contractors in the building the bloody XP "blew it's guts" and every AFCI and some GFCI's circuits tripped, water pump started to cycle and most LED's looked like Saturday Night Fever.

While you might get by with a 6000xp I'd recommend you buy a 12000xp. You get 100% increase in power capability at 50% increase in cost. Your quoted surge figures are off. The 6000xp is rated at 25 amps continuous with a 5 sec surge to 11000.
50a is the maximum continuous output.
50a of 120v on each leg, or 50a of 240v .
That's twice what it actually is.

I have near your exact set-up completely off grid running my cabin and pump. 6000xp, 10 Hyperon 400w panels, Grundfos SQ5 soft start 240v pump, a single PowerPro indoor wall battery. Stove and water heater are propane. House heated by wood.
No issues running that pump and no issues running the house. I have a 240V 40A double pole breaker after the 6000xp (basically as a house disconnect) before the wire runs to my house 100A main panel. Will never need that much. Occasionally in winter Inverter shuts of when battery gets to low during long storms or snow. Comes back on when the suns out. Might add a second battery later this year.
Without wifi or using your phones wifi near the dongle the settings will be a pain to set up on the inverters screen. Using the EG4 web based monitor site to change settings is 100% better then the screen.

Could I use hotspot from my iPhone? I will have 20 panels. How do you like the Hyperion? How many feet away are your panels and what size wire did you use? And how are your panels grounded?

For the two solar strings would I have to run 5 wires in conduit. + - , + - and ground? What conduit would I use and how far down would I bury it? 10awg should do and I’ll probably be under 300ft

You can use the wifi on your phone to log into the dongle wifi. Then use EG4 monitor app. Need to be near dongle.
I have 10 panels all in series on house roof about 60ft from shed where 6000xp is. Using 8-2 (with ground) wire that was already in place from my previous 24V system.
Panels mount rails ground wire goes to AC distribution box ground terminal near my 6000xp. The distribution box has a ground wire that goes to a ground rod outside the shed.

Could I ground the panels to the main ground rod I have that my 200amp panel is grounded too?

Maybe I misunderstood but if you have one 6000xp the max output is 25 amps.

And yes you can use the ground rod on the house. For 300 ft distance I would drop down to 8 ga wire but 10 ga will work.(for the PV)
