I don't know why I'm posting this, other than I'm super excited. I made a goal for myself to solarfy my critical needs and only use $20 supplental grid power. I have not reduced any appliance use, but have become more conscious of conserving power.
(turning off things while nor in use)

And today, I received my first bill in the $20 range. I'm super stoked, and amazed still that the sun can provide all this :)

Also a big THANK YOU to Will Prowse that turned me onto solar and put this awesome forum together.

And another big THANK YOU to all the forum members that have helped me on my quest.

Thanks :)

Congrats on the achievement, it must be a great feeling.

I must be missing something with their graph though ... the numbers don't make sense to me. So for May 2024 you used 2.7kWh ... or 2.7 x 10kWh ??? :)

Thank you, it really is an awesome feeling after you understand the cost of equipment, or just the patience of learning solar.

I used 79.5kwh in 29 days so the bar graph shows my daily consumption.

But on closer inspection of my bill, I realize how little I understand about their billing methods. I might make a topic to discuss it.

Thanks, the extra info helps explain part of it ... but I still don't get the left column ... KWH ... the numbers don't seem to corelate.

Either way, it's a great result. How long have you had the extra solar, because it seems like a pretty low useage.

I put 1.2kw of panels up last summer, then swapped them out to a 2.2kw array I think in December. I was hesitant before to run my battery banks down, which would have probably helped with my on peak/on grid furnace usage. I am starting to refine the process.
