Hello,
I´m living in Belgium, looking for an off-grid solution for a small installation.
We mainly do repair on cars there and do not need a lot of power.
I just got a SolaredgeSE7K-RWS inverter and a Solaredge BAT-05K48 battery from a friend and I want to use it off-grid. We will install around 3KW of solar-panels.
The problem is this inverter (hybrid) need to be connected at least 5min to a stable powered grid connection to start.
My questions :
Thank you for your time.
Best Regards,
Aymeric

The problem is this inverter (hybrid) need to be connected at least 5min to a stable powered grid connection to start.
My questions :
- Can I use a generator to simulate the grid? / Will it damage either the inverter or the generator?
- Will it continue working just with the battery once I remove the generator or do I need to keep simulate grid somehow?
- What will happened once the battery is fully charged? We will mainly be there on weekend and the whole week the battery will stay there at full charge with the sun still shining on the panel. Will it cutoff the circuit somehow? Where will the excess current goes if the inverter do not have the capacity off opening the circuit? Will it damage the battery/inverter or simply burn cable somewhere and are we at risk off a fire or an explosion?
- Should I just buy another inverter (Off-grid) and will it work with the battery that I already possess?
Thank you for your time.
Best Regards,
Aymeric
