Off Grid Well Jensen Pump Jack 13w9 in the works

Is this a batteryless system? If so, can you detail how you run the motor? Is it being fed DC or AC, what controller you use etc. Partially for my idle curiosity, partly for future use giving people advice etc.

Bracing for pump jack stand complete now time for new batteries and battery box.

I have plans to put my well on solar one day. I am using an air-lift pump in a 50 foot well in sand and gravel aquifer. It doesn't take much air to bring up the water in a 3/4" line down a 2" well casing. I have a 275 gallon storage tank and a pressure pump and tank to meet my needs of pressurized water.wellair.resized.jpg

Looks like it will work. Got mine working great just need new batteries and battery box gonna bury a 1000 gallon tank to complete my installation.

How deep is your well? Looks like your well and piping is about twice as big s what I have. Looks like a very nice setup you have.

Did you get the batteries and tank taken care of? Always more things to do than there are hours in a day.

New batteries and desulfator just need battery box now. These are running well and security lights now. So far ok! Only about $750 for these maybe $100 for box I hope.

So you get over every day more energy than your pump can deliver and will store the excess in the battery, and you need to run the pump 24h to get enough water, or do yo get enough water during the day and stop the pump when the tank is full?

More parts for this project came. Wireless control and new relays, float switches etc. Soon to do some upgrades. Gonna be way cool when finished.

Battery Box Installed today! Batteries should stay dry and warmer now after I insulate.

Wireless RF remote control added today. Now I can turn pump on and off from at least 200 feet. Now to hook the float switch back up to new relay for automatic tank refill. With 8 6 volt batteries and a 1000 watt solar array should have lots of water for me and my livestock. It's still a project in the works!
