Hello everyone. I have an 8kW Deye inverter and its Solarman wifi dongle. I do not want to register anything anywhere, and I don't want my inverter connected to some unknown server or let my data sit there. I don't care about remote monitor. But I do care about local or offline monitoring. It's literally there on the screen and in the circuits behind the inverter box, and I don't think it should need to go outside my local network for me to be able to reach it.

I looked but I could not find any options for it with Solarman, so I am asking the experts here if you know of any way that this can be done. And I am not interested in Solar Assistant since that too is basically a remote monitoring service.

You're paying for the license to use the software. You're just not using one of many features. It's a nice, easy, and inexpensive solution if you already have a Pi.

If your hell bent on not using it, I believe there are a few projects on GitHub that can pull data off a Sol Ark so they should work with your Deye.
Here's one: https://github.com/aaronmelton/solark_monitor But with these you need to run your own database software and graphing software.

Also here's a pretty lengthy conversion on the topic: https://diysolarforum.com/threads/sol-ark-inverter-monitoring.23717/

Yes, I saw that but I wasn't sure if it's compatible with Deye since what seems to be the difference between the two is exactly in the software.

sa was tested on deye/sunsynk's, as nobody outside the us is using the solark
