I need to shut down my system for a few minutes to make some adjustments and am wondering what's the best order for disconnecting the system from the charge controller? I'm assuming:

  1. Turn off inverter
  2. Disconnect the tray cables from the battery
  3. Disconnect PV cables from charge controller
Thanks in advance!

I would hope you'd have a way of removing the PV power from it all, via something like a disconnect? My charge controllers (all in ones) will charge the batteries even if the switch is off. In my case I would turn the All in one off, turn the battery off (via its disconnect) and the PV array off via their disconnects.

1, 3, 2. Always disconnect solar before batteries.

Another way to think of it is that the battery should be connected to the SCC before connecting or disconnecting the PV.

Of course turn all devices off. (1) Disconnect the solar panels from the CC. (2) Disconnect the negative battery connection. That would be the negative of the whole bank of however many cells. (3) I don't understand tray cables. (4) then carefully remove any connections as you need for the maintenance.
