Orientation

Thanks folks for continuing this conversation. For what it's worth I did write K2 Energy, but heard nothing back. I am pleased to hear that the K2s are made of cylindrical cells and can be placed in any orientation. I did, however build a 2nd battery using much shorter cells and which are more suitable for my application. The K2s will find another role in my learning. Cheers.

"When questioned, Sinopoly indicated that installing the cell in any other position than upright would cause some of the plates to run dry after a while, damaging it. Installing them flat on their side is out of the question in all cases."

"I queried the matter directly both with Sinopoly and CALB and the answer was categoric each time: installing the cells flat on their sides would cause the upper plates to run dry."

Thanks Johan. Thankfully, in my case I was able to re-purpose the K2s where orientation won't be a problem.
