Hi y'all, thought I'd post here; I bought one cell, thinking one of mine was bad. I wont need it anymore, but it's completely unused, didnt even connect it. In the Bay Area but going up to Seattle, then Minneapolis and could drop it off along the way. $130 obo.

OK, I am a little confuse.
We have Jenny Wu of DONCAN warehouse (Doncan Technology (Shenzhen) Co) in Houston TEXAS DONCAN warehouse (Doncan Technology (Shenzhen) Co) in Houston TEXAS .
And then we have Amy Zheng of powerwholesale from TX USA.
Are they both the same company?
Do I contact Jenny Wu through Alibaba chat to get the battery shipped from USA or contact Amy Zheng Facebook (which I do not have FB account) to have battery shipped form USA?

They can all ship from TX warehouse. Amy is in charge of retail side which is powerwholsale. And I believe the others do alibaba and aliexpress. It's all the same company. It's just a big one.. I just deal with AmyZheng. One of them will chime in in the next couple hours and point you in the right direction.

The great experience I had was with Jenny Wu. I have worked with others in the past but I really liked working with Jenny. She seemed to be less phony baloney and she never told me something that turned out to be inaccurate. In actuality when I had doubts they proved to be unfounded and I will definitely work with her again soon.

I will share her contact here off her page on this forum so it is easy to contact her rather than just rolling the dice with someone else.

Jenny Wu from Docan Tech, welcome to contact me here directly !

So we did four (4) random test of the (64) 280Ah that we got from Docan Tech // Jenny WU (China) BUT boss picked up in Houston. @Jenny Wu

282-283-282-281 Ah

Now of course being brand NEW Grade A's you expect them to be a few Ah higher when they are new but from where we sit we like this DONCAN company.

PROS
1. Great English. (If you have not read my post from a while back on how to order batteries you should though. English is a VERY hard language to learn. Nothing is spelled right, you have letters in words that don't make sense, your slang varies with each state, your accent varies with each state, and out here in the oil fields the F-word actually has 50 different meanings depending on the sentence, person, how its being used, and the tone - LOL. I say all of that to say this - when asking questions to suppliers - ask SIMPLE DIRECT to the POINT questions that they can answer DIRECTLY with SIMPLE to the POINT ANSWERS. Don't ramble. Don't ask multiple questions in a single question, "what is the weight and price difference between the 280Ah and the 302Ah? Don't be surprised when you get an answer back like "Ford builds nice trucks"....etc)

2. Great customer service - so far no bullshit - straight shooter. SOOO many times the sales guys have no idea what the warehouse guys are doing or what they are even sending - DONCAN seems to control the full process

3. Absolutely the best packing that we have ever seen in any of the batteries that we have EVER got - and I probably have done well over 5000 LPOs in the last 3 years - probably more -- but this packaging is great ....

4. The Houston ppl were excellent to work with ... they are organized - fast - helpful to load ...

CONS:
1. Their prices are probably 20% more then norm but honestly, having the ability to get the batteries in a couple of days vs. 70+ is worth every cent right there AND if you go to Houston yourself the ability to open the boxes and randomly check is worth every cent ...

Battery prices are NOT going to go down -- EVER. My personal concern is that the BIDEN administration will decide to do some tariff or tax or whatever its called (once again not an economist or accountant) and these battery prices will blow up OR it will take 6 months to get them in.

IF i was DONCAN I would be importing the heck out of these batteries and stocking up. I would also set up an office in CA (which I am very surprised they don't have). But the use of LPO is not going to go down any time soon. The first 280Ah we bought must have been - and don't quote me on dates - but about 3 years ago. I do know that we paid $87 for it - delivered ... Three years later the avg price delivered from China is probably 125?? So use paying $147 (out the door) to me is worth every cent. Will we buy more - YEP ...

Sorry for the rambling -- just got off night shift - way toooo much coffee - trying to stay awake all day cause I start dayshift next week ...

Definitely a good company to deal with. All of them seem pretty straightforward with you. I got the catl 280 amy told me they were b grade but new from factory. My capacity test was done on 4 in series and I got 289. Dam good for a "B" grade battery.

You're a NICE girl but young ... :)

Here's how it work with California: If you have so much as postage stamp sized footprint in California, you are subject to California laws and California taxes. Companies have divested of Californian operations for this reason.

(once again not an economist or accountant)

Neither am I, but I've been around the block a couple times.

I'm Here, But I'm Not All There
This thread has given me the confidence to place a small 16 cell order from the Huston warehouse for the EVE 230Ah cells. Working out the details now.

What questions do I need need to be asking of the supplier?
- are they new grade A+
- shipping to my door
- hardware and busbars included
- data sheets and testing data included
- intact QR codes

What else ?

Agreed. I just pulled the trigger on four 304Ah cells for our class C Winnebago (delayed two weeks out of Houston because they are out of shipping boxes lol.) Thought about getting eight... but too much battery for our entry level solar system :)
