Hello Outback enthusiasts,

When I am researching Outback's separate components and the pre-wired solutions, I wonder what is actually required? I believe that you must have a mate3 to properly configure these devices, or is there another way? I also wonder if the hub is necessary or the flexnet (skynet ;) )? Basically, I am trying to see what is necessary, or what the value is with these additional devices? Is there a way with a raspberry pi and opensauce?

I know for sure I would need the SCC, Inverter, breaker boxes etc, but unknown for me with these additional devices, and if they are worth it

As always I apprecite the thoughts and inputs

I don't know if Outback has this feature, but with some Midnight equipment you can connect a battery shunt and tell SCC to vary its DC current output to maintain target battery voltage. When inverter draws more, SCC delivers more. That would be useful for an over-paneled system.
