Paint Overspray on Panels

I figured no scraper. That thought scared me 😂 I’ll start with that. You think Dawn Dish soap is good enough? Any specific scrubbers with a pole you could recommend. Thank you

Your going to have to get on the roof and do by hand, no way around that, for soap, liquid dish detergent any brand. Scotch brite, I'd start with the one that is a the blue sponge should do the job, next is the green pads, but don't get too aggressive with the glass

IPA is certainly worth a try, but I don't think it will dissolve paint before desiccating, which is why I thought a 'stickier' solvent with some hold time would work best, esp. if applied and removed by cloth. IPA does work wonders on tar spots when I detail my Jeep, but I have to keep at it since it dries so damn fast.

Maybe I’ll do a mix. Start with distilled water rinse, top with some dawn and a soft sponge or Scott brite. Maybe try rinsing with some alcohol then more distilled water. If that doesn’t work maybe a harsher chemical.

Still going to work with the company who painted it to see if what they will do.

I once got white spray paint on a black car.. it was 100ft away but the wind.. I removed it easily with a soft cloth and brake fluid.

The paint was Rustoleum metal spray paint, oil based. I removed it the same day it happened and the car's paint looked perfect afterwards.

I would think that latex paint is even easier to remove, especially from glass.

I wouldn't wait forever with this though.

I am against acetone.

Almost every oil based product can be dissolved or removed using mineral spirits.

Acetone is mostly good on shellac products.

Lacquer thinner for laquers.

If latex acrylic or other water based products, then a good detergent and hot water with a mild sponge will soften the latex and allow removal.
