I am looking to add an extra layer of “stupid proof” to my system.
I am looking for a 3 position switch that will disconnect the panels then the scc sequentially.
I.E. Position 1-Both on, Position 2-scc on, panels off, Position 3-Both off.
I mY not always be the one operating the backup system, and want to make it as simple as possible.
A search here found nothing that I was looking for, ideas and suggestions are appreciated.

No suggestions for devices, but would pose that you're focusing on a non-issue. This topic comes up regularly. The critical order of operations is so the SCC can establish the battery voltage. The number of SCC to battery disconnects due to BMS triggering is vast, and reports of MPPT failures for this reason are very rare.

I'm saying "very rare" because I'm allowing that it's possible. I don't recall a single incident on this forum attributable to the subject of your concern.

It’s not so much a “needs” as it is “This is how I want my system set up.”
I do technical training and documentation, and this is how I want it done.
Thanks for the information though, I wasn’t sure how critical it actually was. Good to know that I won’t let any magic smoke out if I have a momentary lapse.
