Paralleling LIPO batteries - How?

I have two sets of 24v 90A/hr batteries, one old, one new, and want to connect them in parallel.
Should I connect the negative to the second battery B- or to the P- ?
And does it make a big difference ?
Will each battery's BMS take care of its own and not interfere with the second battery?
They are identical batteries, but not necessarily all matched cells of course...

In my signature block is a how to parallel batteries. For my instal, I will build mine like you see in the diagram. Just build each battery individually and then parallel as if they were two regular batteries.

I don’t know all BMSs can parallel batteries.

Click on your profile avatar at the top of the page, next to the mail icon. Go to Preferences, then down to Privacy Options. Check the box to see other people’s signature with their messages.

Not available by default on mobile.

Though I haven't checked to see if it's a setting.

I always have the "rotation lock" on, because my phone switches continually between landscape mode and back again and you can't read a thing!
Snoobler put me on to this in one of his other posts... some people have all the answers !!
