PILA Energy has a sleek product that works as an uninteruptable power supply for specific appliances. It would sit near your refrigerator, furnace or wifi router I suppose. If the power goes out temporarily what ever you have plugged into it runs off a 1.6kwh battery until the power comes back on. Base price is $999 and its expandable. It isn't grid tied it just plugs into an outlet inside the house. This sounds a bit like an EG4 3000xp with a battery. Anyone diy something like this?
