PIP-2024LV-MK only 89% solar charging efficiency?

I've been looking at the PIP-2024LV-MK since it's $110 cheaper then the PIP-2424LV-MSD. I noticed a big difference in solar charging efficiency. The 2024LV-MK is only 89% efficient where as the 2424LV-MSD is 98% efficient. Anyone else notice this? This is according to the manuals and not a real test, but 9% difference seems like a lot. This will be for an RV install.

I have 1212LV-MK, yes, it is about 89 ~ 90% on my unit, I also have the MS and it is over 90%.

If you're a ham radio operator or just curious about RFI with this device, it's absolutely horrendous when charging the batteries on AC grid power with the solar panel wires connected. It gets worse when charging thru the panels.

It doesn't appeared to be a FCC certified device.
