pitless seal

is the seal on a pitless on the slider or the stationary?can I get an assortment of seals so 1 of them is likely to fit..?I can't see what kind of pitiless it is...

btw are there any tricks to heating up poly pipe to get fittings to slide on?? I know you don't want to overheat it...I have the fancy blue pipe
I got from the well supply place and stainless fittings..

I usually just chuck the pipe roll out where the sun can get to it...

Failing that, hot water in a bucket.

Heat gun. More gentle than a torch.

another thing
when you put a stainless fitting on the top end of the pipe but the pitless is galvanized or brass....I was thinking if you put a thick wrap of teflon
on the threads you would almost eliminate the touching of dis similar metals.. yes??
