Plastic sheet underneath cells

Hi,

I am using heating pad for my build, putting a thin aluminum board on top of the heating pad. On top of the aluminum board, I guess it might be better to put a heat conducting insulation layer?

The cells come with some yellow plastic kind of sheets that can be used between cells. I guess the same can be used underneath the cells as well, but the problem is, there aren't enough coming with the cells.

Is there anything (either the same material or an alternative material) I can buy for that purpose? Prefer something I can buy locally from grocery store or Home Depot?

Thanks!

Amazon has those thin yellow glassfiber plates.
Bigger plates and you can cut them to size.
Or just buy some thin plastic 1-2mm thick generic stuff and put under the cells.
It is just to stop scraping the blue plastic and alu around the cells.

I put my heating pads directly on the side of the cells. That worked for the two 12v batteries I built in 2020 and the 48v battery I built in 2024.

If you don't trust your heating pads to produce the right temperature, perhaps you shouldn't be using them at all.
