Possible increase of heart attack risk after mRNA vaccine.

And something several on here should consider as they openly mock their creator.
If you read the words of Jesus and ask yourself, "How does an uneducated jewish carpenter speak so amazingly ?"

Maybe he's not a normal human ? The Bible says God sent him to tell us how much we are loved.
And God wants a relationship with us. But we have to admit we need to be forgiven.

There's your sermon Murphy and Shale. God wants to make your life meaningful.
Jesus took the time to tell you. Maybe you should actually read what he said (it's in the Bible).

Somehow I doubt "saving the planet" will give you any satisfaction. Democrats promise it will.
The brainwashing and indoctrination are strong in you...

You should fight the dark side that subjugates women and encourages slavery... among a lot of other really nasty stuff.

Name calling, assuming and shaming. Kind of speaks for its self........

Name calling, assuming and shaming. Kind of speaks for its self........
Name calling is a natural symptom of frustration in the context for which you are referring to... Calling someone a queer or using a racial slur is a very different kind of thing than calling someone an idiot because they want to deny that 2+2=4.. When it is used to harm someone, it is unacceptable by any measure.. when its used out of frustration, it is far less unacceptable.

People make assumptions all the time.. your brain does it on its own even without you thinking about it. In fact, the FAA (Federal Aviation Admin) was befuddled as to why 100 people could watch a plane fall out of the sky and provide almost the same number of differing accounts as to what happened. These people were obviously not lying, they had no reason to lie.. So the FAA created an entire branch of science to study the phenomenon.
Assumptions happen when you read, see, and hear.. and there is nothing you can do about it short of being conscious of the fact that it happens. It is possible with hard work and training to train some of it out of one of your senses, but no one can eliminate all of it.

Shamming is a legitimate tool.

I always get a kick of out of people who say we shouldn't judge others... which is another antiquated load of hog wash.

For God so loved world that he created it knowing that I would go to hell and suffer for eternity. What a dick! Talk about a just god! He stacked the deck, knew the results ahead of time, and now for a finite amount of sin and a lack of belief that such an evil being is worthy of worship, I get to suffer for eternity.... But since you define God is good is God , we can ignore all of that and call it justice

And something several on here should consider as they openly mock their creator.
You claim your god is my creator, it is you who is mocked, not your god or any other god.

If you read the words of Jesus and ask yourself, "How does an uneducated jewish carpenter speak so amazingly ?"
The stories of Jesus were written hundreds of years after his death. But Hitler was an amazing public speaker and I am pretty sure we can all agree he was evil.

Maybe he's not a normal human ?
Define normal human and how Jesus was abnormal in that context.

The Bible says God sent him to tell us how much we are loved.
The same bible where your god commanded his followers to kill all in a village (except the women who were taken as sex slaves)?

And God wants a relationship with us.
That is nice, ask him to say hi.

Bu we have to admit we need to be forgiven.
What do I need to be forgiven for, according your your story. your omnipotent, omniscient, and omni-benevolent father created us the way we are. And while we are at it why woulda loving father allow his children to burn in hell for even a second?

There's your sermon Murphy and Shale. God wants to make your life meaningful.
There are many ways to have meaning in your life, if you want to follow the teachings of Jesus, please do so. Take away the god and there is some there I actually like.

Jesus took the time to tell you. Maybe you should actually read what he said (it's in the Bible).
I am a naturally born skeptic, I question everything and I became an atheist in bible classes, the story of creation doesn't make sense when you know that incest is wrong. And it went only downhill from there for the pastor trying to teach the class. Killing a guy who is trying to stop a boat from toppeling over seemed terribly unjust to me. I was 9 years old and was kicked out because my questions were disrupting the lessons. And this seems a good time to point out that I have no problem with people questioning vaccines, but if you make assertions about safety, you have to back them up.

Somehow I doubt "saving the planet" will give you any satisfaction. Democrats promise it will.
Another straw man? Why? If you pay even a little attention, you would have noticed that the Democrats actually have something in common with the Jesus from your bible, they are trying to save all humans (not the planet) The planet will be fine with or without humans. And humans (as we know them) will be extinct well before the sun becomes a red giant either because we kill each other off in a nuclear war, biological warfare, or because technology will allow us to created super humans with wings. (would be wonderful to be able to fly don't you agree) You might argue that not all humans can be saved or indeed that we all die and I will agree. But unlike the Democrats I ask that if you refuse the vaccine, that you also accept the consequences of contracting covid and not burden the fragile health care system.

You know what gives me satisfaction? Among other things, building a solar system with battery backup without government help or interference. People here are actually amazingly helpful with their advise.

This thread is really interesting. BTW I had covid the first go around a few weeks before the look downs began.

Not fun, and I'm young and as healthy as it can be. No pre existing conditions etc. 10 days bed, heart palpitations, blood clots, tinnitus which all took months to resolve.

I got the mRNA vaccine from Germany, (Pfizer Biontech). Because the German commission is actually liable for any long term effects.

Not shielded like in many other countries.

Nice. I was so heavily indoctrinated it didn't even occur to me that I COULD think critically or question the Bible until I was much older. If you raise a kid sheltering them from the truth and keep telling them that a magic man in the sky created them and is always watching it can take a while to overcome that.

Most aren't willing to consider what the god they believe in is actually like. Imagine creating a world full of sentient creatures with the foreknowledge that most of them will suffer, die, and then a huge percentage will also be tortured for eternity, all based on rules you yourself set up and dictated. Knowing all of that and then still going through with that creation plan.... What a sadistic horrific being.... is this really the best he could do?

I am an atheist, not an anti theist. Being skeptical is not that easy either, at some point I have to put aside that instinct and accept that my knowledge and any intelligence I do have, is insufficient, so I have to trust authority (scientists, not politicians) That trust does not come easy, especially when we know that scientist can also make mistakes. But I also understand that the scientific method is ultimately self correcting.

If people wish to believe in gods, I have no problem with that, but arguing a god will save us is nice, but first you have to prove he exists. Secondly there is no indication that the god from the bible is a good guy. After all he killed all humans indiscriminately, except for one family, in the great flood. Far fewer then the Satan from the bible, who "only" killed 10 people: the seven sons and three daughters of Job. And he only does this because the god allowed it as part of a bet!

But I still have not seen any evidence that the vaccines pose a significant risk unlike covid.

If you guys want to have a discussion about religion .... why don't you start a thread on that subject instead of cluttering up a thread where some may actually be interested in whether or not the vaccine can increase the risk of heart problems.

Why? It seems germane since you and others believe in things that cannot be proven, don't be insulted when you are lumped in with others who have faith without evidence, it is just an accurate description of your position.

Part of the defensive mechanism in social networks has migrated to pushing religious discussions away, banning them, or playing the victim card.

Pushing away:
Very common for religion to be banned by many discussion boards. The last thing religious people want is for their core beliefs to be challenged.. Even though people usually base their entire thought processes on their core beliefs, they don't want those core beliefs to come under any scrutiny.

Victim Card:
This is a very popular tactic.. question religion and you must be a hater... You are labeled as someone causing harm and hurt feelings or labeled as being a bully.

Religions spent a thousand years persecuting and oppressing people.. when the tables are turned, its a different story.

Maybe they are the embellished ideas put on paper by a different person years after the words had been spoken.
Same as people today hire a writer to put together a biography. Or did Jesus have a personal secretary following him around?

Probably need an expert opinion on this along with everything else.
When you study the Pentatuch, the first five books of the Bible, you understand that it is put together by several authors. Further study allows you to identify these authors by their style. It's a composite. So too the New Testament. Now, this is neither an acceptance or a denial of a historical Jesus, but it certainly points to an understanding of how these texts are put together. Now, add to that the heavy editing done by the Catholic Church in order to maintain power, and the understanding becomes more clear. How does this person speak so amazing <sic>? Because it's a retelling of the story that has been heavily vetted and edited.
As per lefties, Jesus was the original socialist hippy. I would refer you to Galicians.

This is going to seem very general, but this is the way the Legal Systemand Law in our country views these matters. If one thing is considered equal from the beginning, is that we are all born onto "one nation, under God(whatever or whoever that may be to you)"
The most ironic thing about the last part of this discussion, is people still denying that they follow a God or religion at all and (in this country at least) one if their own choosing. When you get down to it, lawfully the 1st amendment protects one in this country in following whatever God, way of life, and the religion/bible/legal texts that teach a "way to live", or path to follow.
The addition to this though is the broad societal 'Law of the Land', which in essence is, live and let live, and do no harm.
It's pretty obvious, even to the most devout followers of any law system / religion, that ones God, is not a floating head in the sky. That's just being naive to believe that everyone following a religion thinks their superhuman God (or the thing that controls the way they live their lives) is magic in anyway at all.
Everyone, EVERYONE has a God, something that is Superhuman, something that one stands under (understands) and that ultimately controls ones life. Whether you realize it or deny it is on you, but this has been spelled out time and time again under supreme court rulings. This falls in line very clearly with the first amendment, which allows, lawfully all associations / disassociations; as with no other part of the constitution, law of the land, and natural law, can you sell, contract away, all other rights under the constitution except through this first amendment. Happens all the time. For all God given, natural rights, I dont care what you call them, have value, and the first amendment allows one to basically do with what one wants with those valuable rights, whether its retain, or trade them for benefits and privileges.
To conclude this, The Godless (lawless) almost always end up in a cage. Everyone has a God, which one is yours? What contracts have you signed? What benefits and privileges have you retained, while agreeing to to also take on any and all liabilities of said benefits?
The best thing is in this country we are all born equal, under the same Law, but through our decisions and actions in life we dont always end up that way. Whose laws do you follow? What rights have you contracted away? And for what benefit to yourself? If it is of benefit then use it! But if has come with liability attached, why did one make the decision to retain at the cost of a God given, Constitutional, Natural right?

The law or ones god can always be left up to interpretation, which happens all the time through a court(or forum) of ones peers. What cant be left up to interpretation is the fact that we all have a God, something Superhuman (greater than ones self), that controls our decisions and lives we live.

Let's hear more about the pros and cons, and heart science that may or may not come these mRna vaccines! I'm always curious, afterall it is THE foremost and unsettled topic of our current time!
