I purchased a renogy 72000 mah charging bank so that I could power my cpap and other things if we lost power. Next I purchased a renogy 100w mobile panel that I thought could directly charge the power bank. However the panels only have alligator clips to connect to a battery. The power bank charges via usb or standard dc input. Does anyone know where I can find an adapter to go from mc4 to something I can use to charge the power bank?

Scratch what I posted a moment ago....

Now as to what might work. This ones tricky. I first posted a cable to do what you wanted but that is bad idea after I thought about it.

You want something like this :

That kit includes a solar panel and a charge controller. The charge controller is the key piece of the puzzle since just plugging in panels via the mc4 connectors is going to get something fried since voltage can get out of hand from the panels themselves. I couldn't find the controller by itself for usb c which is why I linked the kit which has everything you need in one.

Well…. I already bought this. Trying to find out how to hook them together. It was a suggestion when I bought the power bank so I thought they would easily work together.

Here is what you need :

$9

Cut the clamp ends off what you have and connect the wires to the wires from the above buck converter and plug the usb c into the "usb in" port on the battery.

I bought all Renogy components, hoping they'd work together. To connect the power pack to the controller (as you know) requires a DC plug on one end and 2 bare wires into the controller. The only thing I could find was a DC-to-MC4 plugs. I cut off the MC4 plugs and stripped the wires. It doesn't work. I'm calling Renogy in the morning...they must be able to identify the proper connector!
