Has anyone considered putting several HP DPs units in series to power the RD Buck Power Supply (specially the 6018 or 6024)?
I’m considering the XY6020 or the cheaper XY6020L as these units offer all the necessary features I need except current cutoff. I’m a big fan of the XYS3580 so I think the more expensive one might be worth $45’ish vs $21 for the cheap one.
5 units in series would give me ~61.5V to 63V bone stock. Adjusting the trim pot would be 63V-64V….OVP mod could take you to 68V+
I prefer the 460W units because at 24V it’s nowhere near tripping a breaker. 5 in series run at 300W each is a nice 1500W.
Btw is there a fan mod for the PL28/PD28
Just scored 9 of them for $42 shipped after tax.
