I returned my Relab inverter before the WiFi dongle arrived, so I can't comment on it. If you're not using a USB extension, you should use one. Place the WiFi module itself away from the inverter.
I have the PowMr POW-RELAB 5KU running for about a week now and like it. I had some shipping damage and had to open it up to give it a general check and repair the bent transformer mount. I have a video of the internals here.

Yep, using a USB 2 extender cable. got mine coiled up outside the unit. Would never fit inside. It does get some basic info from the unit but of course no KWH totals every day, so its kinda useless
There's a recent video from Powmr, Calling the relab 5000 a dual voltage, not split phase, There's a lot of claims that this isn't true split phase. It's the way you wind the transformer.
I'll buy the 10K when it's 700 bucks, The split phase only reads currant off of the one leg, The 5000 split phase is awesome as long as you don't pay over $450. Don't expect much don't pay much don't complain.
