Hi looking for advice

I live in winnipeg Manitoba where temps reach -35 Celsius in winter to plus 30 in summer

I am considering gas and solar systems and
have spent a lot of time analyzing flex inergy system
1500w

main priority
Gas furnace blower

secondary half freezers 2 (1 energy star) fridge, mini fridge (energy star)
power phones for communication
And tablets, Walkie talkies, flashlight as needed
Perhaps DC output to power a small frying pan

It’s code here to do transfer switch only on furnace. You can’t install a plug, which killed my solar aspirations

I’m prepping more for longer term scenerio like a month

I’m leaning to gas as primary like a Honda 3000w inverter

As a secondary system I’ve looked at inergy flex which is 1500 continuous, 500 ideal which is quite small and can only run the furnace and high efficiency mini fridge and high efficiency half freezer.

I worry in long term scenerio gas could be scarce. Heat is most important factor here in winter

I am wondering if there is way to run both the gas and a solar generator into same transfer switch or if I need separate ones, or how to make 2 systems work together in someway if it’s possible ?

if I’m desperate I’ll get the furnace blower re wired to plug or hard wired to extension cord but for now I need to stick to code

any ideas would be appreciated to point me in right direction

I’d be interested in hearing thoughts about inergy system or alternatives (titan)?

Thanks

Justin
