Gotcha - wasn't sure. In any case the generator needs the right adaption parts to run on propane -if not manufactured for vapor based fuel. Make sure you properly size the regulator for BTU's of installed equipment.Just in case its not clear by auto-changeover I mean automatically switch from one tank to the other for extended operation.

I have just ordered the Champion 2000 Dual fuel model. I think they are reliable enough for my use. They also have the parallel kit.
Could you just put a 2K tank out there for the genny?
Stick with "inverter" generators. Lots of brands to choose from. Many people love Honda but I think they are overpriced.I want the solution to fit in the bed of a pickup.
Oh and every piece should be lug-able by one guy who is getting isn't as young as he used to be.
I have the iGen 2200.The biggest generator you will find that is ACTUALLY "lugable" is the Westinghouse iGen 2500.
