Purchasing a new system, does this look correct?

We are purchasing components to build our first full home system. We are connected to the grid currently, but plan to use this system in an off-grid build in the future.

Core Components:
- EG4 GridBoss
- EG4 FlexBoss 21 + screen
- Ruixu 16kwh battery
- Ruixu quick connect bus bar & cable
- we currently own 20 Panasonic 330kw solar panels

Any suggestions? Thanks for your help.

My standard warning to folks...
Most Inverters have a clause in their Warranty about only being covered at Original Commissioning Location, or words to that effect.
So if you install, then move it...You might lose coverage.
Seems to be hit and miss as to when/if it's enforced with ANY manufacturer.
Best of luck with your project, and hope everything goes great.

It's not obvious, but used EVs are pretty cheap in your area and probably double the battery for the price of new (or if you have an EV it might be a freebie depending on your needs). The leaf is CHAdeMO so you can get a bidirectional charger for it. A recent look a Hyundai with 400,000 miles showed how well car batteries were doing, it still had 87% battery life despite fast charging and over 300 miles/d. Leaf has a small battery for an EV, might do better shopping around. @GXMnow uses a used Bolt battery rather than the whole car (think he got it out of a wreck).

If you think you'll expand your system in a few years you might want to look into microinverters (advantages) as it isolates you from change somewhat, but currently AFAIK only the IQ8s can be used off-grid and they're pricey.

Assuming you have 330W panels... :)

20 x 330W = 6600W

16000Wh battery / 6600W solar = 2.42h to recharge from empty.

You can use the excess during the solar hours of course but have you done an entry audit to see if 16kWh of battery is enough? I have 30kWh and find its barely enough for a modest household with a cloudy day here and there. We have gas water heater, furnace and spa heater, otherwise we would be short on a nearly daily basis.
