Well, I got around to swapping out my original BMSs without bluetooth to replace the bluetooth ones. I can now turn on the inverter without using the precharge as long as both 12Vx206Ah batteries are connected to the buss. Still won't work on a single battery. But that's better than the BT BMSs. ANd now I can use the full capability of the Victron Multiplus II. The non BT BMSs will handle 286A discharge while the new BT were only able to get to 225A.
While I would not recommend the new BT BMSs, I would definitely recommend the non BT model as long as it has the same BMS that I got with my batteries before BT was available (early 2021). Very happy now.
I also replaced my chassis ground cable with a green one to match my wiring diagram. Am I a geek or what?
