Am considering one for testing new panels / and old I may encounter…I have only seen the ELJOY 800 watt unit online.

Does anyone have any experience or knowledge about this or other type of unit…? Not trying save money but not trying to waste it either…..

Are they worth it for a quick read of performance or quality.

What’s the best unit being used by normal people.
Maybe I should phrase it as “what’s the Blue panel tester…”

Thanks Jim.

I got one in a few days ago. Ordered directly from AliExpress. Took just over a week to get it. Saved 70% off the Amazon price for 800w model I ordered. Worked as described. Here is the link to what appears to be the same 1600w model for $39 if you don't mind waiting a little longer. Link

So your saying a 103 dollar item was only 31dollars at Ali...( 70%off)
Just trying to make sure i understand..

Yeah. I got an 800w (different model) for $27 shipped (was $98 plus tax on Amazon). Again, not the same brand as the one I linked, as that one is 1600w (which I don't need). But, a 1600w model for $39 is better than$106 if you can wait 7-10 days to get it.

Did you order yours from the store you linked - Keep Well Healthy Store?

I think you mean well but be careful .. them rascals over there have a funky way of doin business..
it aint like goin to Lowes and buying somthing that you can take back the next day. Or amazon prime that will instantly refund anything , for any reason, and pay to ship it back.

Thanks , jim.

No. I just searched for that 1600w model specifically. Found a few which to pick from that sell it. There are others. I bought from this vender. Different model, but I got it from $27, now says it's $42. Could probably find it cheaper if i tried...just trying to save a fellow diyer some $.

Yup, been there before too. But, if I find the exact same item on AliExpress for what looks close in price (after discounting for all that Amazon BS sellers have to tack on in order to sell on that platform), I'm confident it's accurate. As for actually getting it? A little riskier compared to Amazon. In your case, if you order from the link I last posted, same 800wr model same vender, you know at least one person that got one....lol.

I appreciate your thoughts…don’t get me wrong… I would rather pay a bit more , get what I want, support an American enterprise that answers the phone, speaks English and if possible and not have to deal with the continent of Asia in any way.. or at least , if possible…

I have never ordered anything from Alibaba or Ali Express ..and have no intention of doing so.

Not that there anything wrong with Asia in certain areas , as I did take King Fu for 15 years…and own a copy of Sun Tzu , The Art of War…

But I try to stick closer to home if possible…if Bezos makes a few bucks , that’s fine with me..

Again thanks….

Jim.

There’s some fat cats up near the Tn / Va / NC line that have got some panels on their roof…
most are 400 Watts and in good shape… may can get them for simply removing them form the 2 clubhouses at a resort..they look great… 3 years old ..( still alot of work…)
Will the unit you linked tell me most of what I need to know to see if there is an issue with em..

I’m just looking at getting and storing them for down the road ..

Yes, and it's very simple to use. It will report voltage, amperage, and wattage, in just a few seconds.

Good price on that solar panel tester. I Bought everything from a multi meter 206D, tire pressure monitoring system... and most recently motorcycle wheel weights from ali. Wheel weights arrived in one week. Never had a problem and always bigly discounted compared to Bezos.

Which "ali"? Alibaba or Aliexpress? There seem to be more posts about problems with Aliexpress than there are with Alibaba. I've purchased two sets of LiFePO4 cells through Alibaba, but nothing through Aliexpress so I have no first hand experience with that platform.

Which is funny. I've had only a few issues, and they were with Alibaba, and only when using PayPal at the time. The crappy refund policy allowing for scammers and all. Dumped PayPal altogether, and have ordered from both sites and always got what I ordered. So longs as I can find the same product on Amazon with good reviews, I have no problem ordering the same item from elsewhere. Especially if you use a credit card, and not a debit card....

Alibaba's credit card setup was much easier this year than it was in 2020. Total PITA the first time. I used the same person (different vendors) for both purchases and that's probably why I had such a good experience on Alibaba.

I keep waiting for AliExpress to rip me off, but I've had good luck with decent quality products, so I'm going to continue to use them for inexpensive stuff that I don't care how long (if ever) it takes to get them.
Their website is enough of a disaster at times (No, still not in Belgium, though your cookies tell you that!) and their constant exhortations to run their app are annoying (it's an intelligence test), but it can be made to work, and you get good stuff cheap but not fast.
Ordered the UNI-T UT673PV just now, thanks for the recommendations!

Used mine for the first time this morning. Worked great. A lot more details and easier than a volt meter....
