I was wondering if anyone had implemented a DC diversion load for a PV String on a Solar Array.
I was thinking about using SSRs to divert a PV String from my array to connect directly to a water heating element instead of using an SSR to control a load on the AC side.
This way I don't have to use the inverter nor micro cycle the batteries during diversion.
Here is an image of what I was thinking.
Do you think this is possible?
