I want to use 2" knock out not being used on the side of my main but can't find a 2" 90 deg elbow plus 2" rigid parts is really expensive. PVC 2" along with a 4x4x4 box is lot cheaper plus I can connect other conduit to it. I only need to go though block wall into my garage about 6" thick. Inside I would go right into a wire trough from what I have read all I have to do is bond the ground wire between the two boxes main and the wire trough. How big of a ground wire do I need to use I will have several wires going through this conduit including PV wire.

If PV is what will be in the box you must use metallic boxes, LB's or conduit if it's inside a structure. Outside you can use PVC. Come straight off the load center to a LB then transistion to emt thru the wall. Another LB can be used inside to go laterally if needed or straight into another box.

I ended up using an aluminum conduit body LB. PVC box looked ugly. This one from Lowes was short enough the ones I saw at Home Depot were really long wasn't enough room between the main and a gate to my side yard. I'm going to go into a wireway box on the inside I want wire to go up into a side entrance of a subpanel and down and over under the inverter. My wire way will look like an upside down Tee with the vertical part going up between the inverter and subpanel.
