Dear DIY Solar enthusiasts,

PWOD and OYE stores on AliExpress (same people by the way) are still fearlessly promoting old CALB 200Ah cells as "New Grade-A" cells, despite the fact that the CALB factory stopped producing these back in 2019, and despite the fact that they are sending out re-labbeled cells, where production codes doesn't match the QR codes.
Then they just claim that "Only specialised QR readers can read these codes", which of course is more bulls..t.
They also claim you can get full refund and sent the cells back, if you are not satisfied, which is even more bulls..t, as you typically can't, first of all because they don't accept returns to their EU or US based outlets, but secondly because it will cost you more returning these cells in a legal way obiding to UN38.3 safety regulations, which China doesn't on Exports, but certainly demand on Imports.
Finally they will deny any and all claims of any wrong doing, despite the fact they have been doing it for years now. They will claim your tests aren't valid, but never themselves provide any real proof of their own testing, basically because they only test cell voltage and internal resistance.

PLEASE EVERYBODY the only way of stopping those scroupleloose sellers, is STOP buying from them. It seems AliExpress really don't care how much it damages the credibility of their own sales platform, having such sellers using the platform.

Moreover they don't seem to understand how much reduced capacity really tells about a cells age. I have seen 13yo cells with less capacity loss, than the cells these people send out, claiming to be new cells.

It sickens me to see when customers realise too late, that a cell having 3.3V and IR of less than 0.5milliOhm, really doesn't tell anything about the cells capacity and selfdischarge etc. etc. And far too late realize they have been taken for a ride for their own money, unable to get any compensation or open a dispute.

Best regards and

SCAM!!!! I bought 64 'Brand new 200AH' cells tested them and only got 117-133AH. Watever you do do not buy from this company. They only sell used and substandard cells. Don't fall for their cheap prices there is a reason for it. They insist the batteries are new and refuse to resolve the issue. They have no interest helping their customers. Please see my test results below.
