Does anyone know if this Gobelpower decoder is accurate?
It may be an issue with the browser, the "Decode" button does not show in your snapshot. If you lookup 001CB31, it should show unknown capacity, and 001CB2W should show CATL 280Ah.
Capacity code is tricky, this code is in the manufacturer's database and they will not disclose it.
The production date code is following the rules of the industry, so it will be accurate if following rules to decode it.
In your snapshots, same code but different production dates, the decoding algorithm is same, one code cannot has two production dates. So one lookup may not be submitted successfully, refresh the page and look up again.
Your code is 001 CB3 100 000 02B BJ1 105 706, 15-17 digits (BBJ) is production date:
Year: 1~9 represents 2011-2019, the next years are in alphabetical order A~Z, A represents 2002, B represents 2021…
Month: 1~9 represents January to September, A~C represents October to December.
Day: 1~9 for the 1st to the 9th, A~V for the 10th to the 31st.
I, O and some other letters are not used due to similarity with numbers.
B is 2021,
B is Nov,
J is 18th
So production date BBJ is 18/Nov/2021. Your 2nd snapshot is right.
PS: for model CB31, it should be 280Ah cells according to the CATL specification sheet, but some sellers sell it as 300Ah or 310Ah cells, it will not be added to the database before official confirmation from the CATL, so now it shows unknown capacity.
