not exactly DIY- but studying my current system to look at possibility of battery backup.
We have 40 330W panels with enphase IQ7 feeding in 3 strings to a IQ combiner box.
The L1 and L2 to a disconnect switch. From there the L1 and L2 are spliced directly into the mains between the meter and the panel.
most threads I have read describe the L1 and L2 from the disconnect going to a backfed breaker on the panel. Is this setup acceptable?
