Hey, I'm know this has been asked before so I apologize in advance. I'm mounting 4 panels to my bus's curved fiber glass roof. I'm inclined to go with glue on drill less mounts but I'm readying some conflicting opinions on how well they will work on a curved roof. https://puu.sh/Hxajk/5ed55e07a9.png is my current cart for the mounting supplies, all that should be proper for installing the mounts as per Wills guide. The roof is fiber glass panels bolted to 2" square steel tube framework, which I assume is going to be plenty strong enough for glue on mounts. Roof is 100" wide and has a center peak of 3.5" and the panels in question are 40" wide, if I leave .5" gap between the roof and the center of the panel I end up with a 1" lift on each corner mount. Here is the visualization of the roof line and solar panel orientation https://puu.sh/HxarI/eda92be06f.png i'm dealing with. Is this curve workable? Would it be better to lower the center of the panel down to the roof line so the corner lift is less or is it important to have air entering and moving under the entire panel?

Sufficient air gaps are good for solar panels. I can't tell you how much it too little or too much. My gap is a good 1" in the spot where yours is .5". My roof has much less arch. In your case, my guess is it's good enough clearance.

I'm not a fan of glue or tape to hold down panels. But on a fiberglass roof it will work much better than on a rubber roof. For the ultimate confidence in securing the panels, a rack system is the way to go, but that would use fasteners through the fiberglass.
