To set the tone, this is entirely out of curiosity. These panels are already installed and I have no reason to be dissatisfied at this time.
I bought some Qcells Q.PEAK DUO ML-G10+ 410W panels from Signature Solar. There was no mention of bus bars but the SS part number ended with -6BB so I assumed that meant they had 6 bus bars. This was confirmed when they arrived at my house.
All of the other information I could find online said the G10 series panels were only ever made with 12 bus bars. Even the data sheet from SS (attached) showed an image of a panel with 12 bus bars. The specs on the panel label match the specs on the data sheet exactly.
My question is, if both the 6BB and 12BB are rated for the same output from the same size panel (same efficiency), is there any real world difference in performance due to the number of bus bars?
