R pi/ venus/ jk 200a BMS help

hey
i have a jk bms using the rs485 to usb adapter pluged into my raspberry pi running venus. dbus driver installed. worked perfect for a year.

today i turned everything off to fit a mains charger to the lynx. i suspect i shouldnt of turned the BMS off with its handy new button.

since turning back on my VRM doesnt show the BMS. lost cell voltages and the temp sensor etc.

any ideas or any ideas how to troubleshoot? i dont know if its a fault in the bms or the rs485 adapters or even in the pi, tho everything else is working.
il zero experience with unix, i know enough to paste commands into putty.

is there away to ping the bms to prove connectivity or view some type of logfile to see connections?

yeah, reseated usb at the pi. and the smalll pin connector on BMS

what do you mean by readding battery?
