I had an old Raspberry Pi from about 3-4 years ago that was just sitting around and collecting dust. So I re-purposed it. I watched this guy's video about how to do it:
Many thanks to him for sharing this. Very complete. Everything went like a charm. He leaves off at the end, before showing how to use the app, but I looked that up and figured it out.
The SW is a bit slow to respond and sometimes suffers from old data, but you just have to be patient and let it update. Pretty slick. Since I already had the pi, just cost me $28 for the USB converter cable, and about $10 for a micro SD card. Right now, I'm just running a 150/35 charge controller. I might start adding stuff now that I can access it from anywhere.
