Reading data from JK BMS

Hi,

I recently installed JiKong BMS PB1A16S10P connected to EaSun ISolar-SMG-II inverter.
Now I'm trying to connect BMS to raspberry pi to get real-time status of my batteries.
I purchased a cable USB-to-RJ45 (RS485) from JK BMS and connected it to my raspberry pi, but not getting any data through it and it shows all the time as offline.

I see that installer already connected BMS to inverter through similar RJ45 cable (white cable on the picture)
I tried different ports for my USB-to-RJ45 cable (black one on the photo) but with no luck.




I'm trying to understand what stays in the documentation and it mentions that I need to adjust some of the pins in order to enable some of the ports, I don't really get this part.

I would really appreciate if anyone can point me in the right direction and can explain me how can I connect to my BMS.

Have you set the port on the BMS that you are using, ie Uart 1 or 2, to use JK RS485.

I didn’t do any changes in the configuration
Is that something that can be done in the mobile app?

Yes, in the app you can change the comms format for uart 1, uart 2 is fixed.

now I updated it in the app, what software would you recommend to install on raspberry pi?

The cable does not connect to this rs485, it connects the next one.

Update the software to the latest, 15.35. Use the phone app to set it up.
Not to use the PC app.

The cable on the Raspberry works perfectly. Just adjust the protocol.

The white cable is connected incorrectly, these are the ports for the battery. The first one to the inverter is where the black one is in the picture.
