I have a MG4 64KW and a Tesla 12.5kWh Powerwall home battery. Having a fairly power hungry home ( have a Heat pump) this cold weather finds me using all the home battery power by early afternoon (having charged at the cheap overnight rate on IOG) so I spend the rest of the day paying full price for power.

Sitting on the drive is an additional 60+kWh battery full of 7p per kWh energy. I wonder if there is a way of integrating this with the Powerwall? The Heat pump when it is -3 degrees uses around 2kW. Yes I know I am a tight wad but It seems such a waste!

Two things.

I would not pull more than 1kw from the Tesla. Need the car on and maybe 1000w inverter from the 12v battery. This would be an assist at best as it would take 60 hours to fully use the battery. No direct connection to the HV battery.

Powerwall is not designed to accept an independent battery charge. Need to go in direct or through the solar. I recommend an additional 1 to 3 Powerwall and skip the vehicle supplying power. Some day all this will be integrated with the vehicles.

MG4 have V2L function, so the simplest solution is to charge the powerwall from the car.
Anyone know how to charge a powerwall?

Same here. It's why my EV can charge my home battery ;)
