Reliability LV6048, LVX6048 or LV6548?

Any inputs about the reliability of the LV6048, LVX6048 or LV6548 inverters? Any major issue about any of them? Board failures or recurrent warranty claims?

Thx u!

I had one main board go bad on my LV6548, but I believe it was my fault. Constant overheating and hitting the max wattage rating was a little hard on it... They warrantied it for free, but the process was a little long for my liking.

@Lt.Dan where did u purchase?

OP be careful, while there are a lot of sellers out there, even though @Lt.Dan had issues, it is pretty well known fact that Watts247 is actually one of the best companies when it comes to warranties. Many of the others just don't honor the warranty and tell you to get back in touch with the manufacturer in China.

Im aware of the situatioon! Thx u

I have two LV6548's from Watts247 and so far, they have been great! Started using them on a limited basis in Jan 22 and now I have disconnected from the grid for the last 25 days with no problems.

Amazingly, using 7 48v LiFePO4 batteries and 10,400 watts of Solar Panels, I haven't had any problem running everything including a Grinder pump, Stove/Oven, 5 Gallon 110v Electric water heater, Clothes Washer, Clothes Dryer, Dish Washer, Refrigerator, Microwave and Two A/C Mini Splits.

Two minor issues a few months ago:

1) I had too many batteries (7) on one E9 150 breaker and while running the Clothes Dryer in the evening, it tripped. I divided the batteries into two sets with a 150 Breaker for each set and that resolved the issue.

2) I would leave my laptop connected to the communication port on one of the LV6548's for days at a time and once in a while it would cause the inverter screen to go black and loose communication. Both Inverters would still continue to work. Now I DON'T leave the laptop connected full time. I don't know if it's a problem with my laptop or a problem with the Inverter.

So would Overkill BMS function as a breaker? Total novice here - I've got 3 LV6548, 5 battery sets, BMS and 47 panels but not sure what other items i'll need. A shunt or 3 perhaps? Wanting to run one on each leg for 220. Any advice?

You don't NEED a breaker to go from BMS > Load, but you atleast need a fuse. Having an on/off switch is nice to have, but a breaker takes care of the switch and fuse, essentially.

Thx - and any knowledge of a need for shunts? I'm assuming i'll have to forego my 220 CHA as the amp draw would be too much, if that's related so maybe a shunt isn't needed for lower amp stuff....?

Have a pair of Rich Solar 6548's for a couple months and had them to 75% and was scrolling thru the displays when one made a loud snap/pop and went dark.
Checked the main fuse and it was blown, replaced it and the every one of my SOK's throw a SCP fault - I show continuity from pos to neg
Day 2 waiting for reply from techs at shopsolarkits on what to do.

Main board uses aluminum bus bars for battery connection which is poor design they expand and contract under load and will eventually melt solder connection on main board. You have to tear unit apart to tighten the bus bars
