The issue I had with Renogy was their MPPT charge controller showed very inaccurate voltage. It wasn't just the display, the app showed the same thing. After getting the run around for weeks trying to get them to replace it under warranty, they finally acknowledged that the display was not showing the correct voltage, but they insisted that the MPPT is actually using the correct voltage for charging. How they came to that conclusion without physically examining the hardware is anybody's guess. It didn't matter if they offered a 7 day warranty or a 100 year warranty, their warranty means nothing to me. But the good thing that came out of that was it pushed me to dump Renogy completely and go with a real charge controller/inverter. I got the EG4 6500EX and then a year later, the EG4 6000XP. I'm very happy with my current setup.
thank you for this photo, it shows me that it is not only my work bench that looks like crap (no I am not posting a photo of mine... it is way worse) but yours gives me hope that somewhere out there there is one messier than mine.

Oh its WAY worse right now. Its has stuff piled all the way to that white shelf up top right now !
When I moved the 12v inverter and its batteries from one side of the workshop to the other to make room for the new 48v batteries I added I was in a hurry and needed space fast. Poor workbench caught the bulk of the "moved" stuff. Still have about 4 days of cleaning to get it back to normal
In this picture, unless you drop your drawers, there is no sunshine.
I installed a Renogy Rover, two 100 watt panels and a 30AH battery in my daughter in laws greenhouse and it for that last 3 years has worked very well. Using an AGM battery so I suspect in a year or so I will have to replace it, otherwise all is well. She or my son use the Bluetooth app to check on it or they scroll through the screen to make sure all is well.
I added a victron smart shunt in line with the renogy meter I have. That way actual accurate readings get done by the victron shunt which is reported to the cerbo gx which relays to the mqtt server on home assistant which beth the ai reads and sends out email, tv overlays to be read on screen while watching tv/movies and actually voice announces if there is something that needs tending to. Also sends emails, text messages and logs things too.
