I have a Renogy 200W ShadowFlux Anti-Shading N-Type Solar Panel Open Circuit Voltage
36.5V. And a DCC30S 12V 30A Dual Input DC to DC Battery Charger with MPPT with Input Voltage
30 VDC.
Is there a step down converter i can use to drop 36 volt to 30 volts?
Thank you

No. That's a known limitation of those units and why they're pretty much useless for anything but "12V" panels (~20Voc).

Get the new 50A. IIRC, it's good up to 50V.

You can stap down but its useless to do.
Your panels will have so slow charge.
That a bicycle with his alternator have more power.

Best thing is to sell the mppt unit or the solarpanel.

Personal go
1x dc to dc
1x mppt .
Than you are not stuck with pv volt input of 50volts.

I have look a lot of those unit and all around 30-50pv volts input.
And i think the reason is that dc to dc part is inside connect to the mppt.
And that is the reason i have that big limit on the pv input volts.

I’m very new to solar and have been looking at those panels. Are you saying i can’t string those in series and use them with any decent performance? I have 2 48 volt eg4 batteries and an eg4 3000 on an RV.

I thought ther performing in shade was good and i need 30” wide panels.

No. I was referring to the renogy charger.

I just wrote to you on another thread too! I can’t keep up with you! This was older so I thought. Would reply to the recent one then you quickly replied to this one. I’m sure you’re replying to the other now! So 7 of these to an eg4 3000ehv 48 is maybe a good match/ i don’t completely understand the numbers yet. PV array MPPT voltage range 120-450vdc. Startup voltage 42vdc. Max current draw 18A. Max charging current 80A. The best I can tell so far is it’s a good match. My copilot say so anyway!

Awesome.much appreciated. See if i can find a coupon code or get them from Amazon .get the little gears rolling or just buy their tilt racks. Kinda high . I think i can make them. Maybe use a clasp instead of the screw unscrew system .thanks again🏆
I just made a purchase in 200W shadowflux, they offered me a discount code (CODE), you can check whether it is still valid.
BTW, I really like the new 200W shadowflux, it's cool!

20.7% is not that impressive when 22.5% panels are available. Renogy needs to stop buying lowest binned solar cells.

Really?! But seems that Renogy ShadowFlux has reach 25%? then I made a purchase...and they gave me a 10% off

At $1.20 a watt and a 5-year warranty i would definitely pass
Don't scare me bro... I wonder if I'm making a mistake.
I buy the shadowflux at $1 with a coupon code (name: RNGCODE), $401 for 400W. Their customer service told me ShadowFlux is 5-year warranty

Holy crap that's expensive.

My 475w panels were US$90ea?

Only bought 6, free shipping too!

I just finished watching Will's YouTube video on these - and while I think people with sunny, flat areas can get a much better value with bifacial, I think these are a fantastic offering. Here is where I think they fit - I live on a lot with lots of tree cover, and I don't have a spot for a large fixed array that is going to get clear sun. I have a variety of panels I have used to build my knowledge of solar but I felt like if I was going to install anything permanently it would have to by something like the BougeRV CIGS panels. Those panels are also expensive, and have a lot more bypass diodes - but they allow for shading of parts of the panel while still producing quite a bit of their rated power. Seems like these panels would be a great fit if you did not need the ability to bend like CIGS, and they are smaller at 50" x 30" vs the 200w CIGS panel being 83" x 27". These panels are also $200 less than the CIGS.

Totally agree. Will is making his second video which will compare the ShadowFlux with traditional Mono. Looking forward to the test result.
