Looking for some advice on the renamed renogy 300 smart shunt now just 300 shunt. I have ultra basic LiTime mini with a 300 shunt connected with a 30 and 50 amp Anderson’s connectors. Allowing a portable system that I can plug and play solar, dc compressor cooler, diesel heater, electric blanket.
The renogy shunt is connected to my phone via DC app and connected with no issue. I did the standard update the SOC to 100Ah and sync to 100%
Possibly someone has some knowledge on how the LED lights work on the shunt. The Bluetooth LED is pretty straight forward illuminates when connected to open app.
My question is what does the power led operation indicate? The instructions only say automatically turns on? No further description what exactly that means.
-app connected no +/- amps Bluetooth and power led illuminated yellow
-app disconnected no -/+ amps the power led starts flashing red , yellow forever
-app disconnected and seems any charge/ discharge under .3 amps the power led flashing “ yellow red” example being 12v compressor cooler in. Eco and compressor off
-app disconnected and any charge / discharge over .3 amps the power LED turns solid yellow.
I connected renogy support and just complete incompetence and having to ask a higher tier of support. Days later they came back and said the blinking leds are fine. To which I responded that wasn’t my original question and I required some actual clarification. I needed detailed explanation on how the shunt automatically turns on off? The instructions make it sound like the LED will be off if the shunt is off? Or do they mean if no power is supplied to the power wire?
As well what does the flash red/ yellow led mean? As anything flashing red to me is a sign of immediate attention required.
After my recent trip experiencing these LED displays I have disconnected power to shunt. Deleted the shunt from DC home app. Reconnected power and added shunt to DC home and verified 100ah and synched SOC.
Made no difference but actually added a strange beeping when the battery was fully charged. Then randomly stopped.
Possibly someone has some person experience, I tried to search forum with no success and YouTube didn’t really have
