I watched Wills video comparing Li batteries this morning and he mentioned the Renogy ones were 1C discharge rating. But their site says its .2C discharge. I am looking at their 170AH 2100+ WH batteries. Called them and they said it is .2C I think that means each battery can only be discharged at max of 34 amps for 5 hours? If it were 1C does that mean I could pull 170 amps out of it for one hour? Being able to pull more when needed would probably be important.

I may not be understanding correctly so I will ask. When I am running the toaster and coffee pot on the inverter from my LA batteries I can see my batteries being discharged at over 150 amps on my Trimetric for the few minutes those are heating. Being these 170 AH batteries are .2C, does that mean I can only do 102 amps (from 3 in parallel) and the 150 amps for a few minutes would make the BMS lock them out or something worse?

1C is better then? -Bill
