Renogy Solar controller not charging batteries

Greetings,

After searching this site, I can not find anything which fixes this apparent problem. This system was working fine for about 2 weeks, until recently (the last 2 days). However, 'someone' thought they could make this work better and the following resulted from whatever 'he' fixed:

Setup (small cabin):

1) Renogy 40 Amp MPPT charge controller
2) Renogy 2 X 200 Ah Li Core batteries
3) Renogy 2000 w charge/inverter

Current settings and readings from both DC Home and BT-1 are attached.

Solar Voc is between 19 and 21V coming in until we incorporate the solar array with the charge controller, whereas the voltage drops to about 11.5 to 13 V (is this normal)?

At no time does the charge controller indicate that it has been charging the batteries for the last 2 days, nor has it.

I have changed various parameters based on comments in this forum, but, as of yet, nothing has changed. The charge controller does not indicate that anything is ever sent to the batteries, regardless of my chosen parameters. I have tried two different 40 MPPT Amp controllers, with the same result (I have a spare).

Part of this 'change' involved 'him' looking at the array, although 'he' indicates nothing was changed up on the hill. Incoming Voc has always been in the 19-21V range before and after this 'change'.

Individual voltage readings for each of the 2 batteries appear to be fine.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

TIA,
Merle

Voltage dropping to 11-13v would indicate that your panels were shaded, have a bad connection, or panel. Once loaded by the SCC the voltage drops to battery voltage. Since someone adjusted your array I am inclined to think a connection issue is most likely.

Hi Matt,

Thanks, I will climb the hill and ladder and check them out.
Hi Matt,

Well, thank you. Apparently, one of the connectors was loose, and when it was 'played with', it slightly melted the connector (on the inside) as I am sure there was a load on it.

Everything is good now.

Thanks again,
Merle
