Replace DALY 250A BMS power cables?

Has anyone replaced the 2 AWG power cables on the DALY 250A with 2/0 AWG cables? If you did, how did you attach the larger cables to it?

My build is all 2/0 AWG to the bus bars and inverter. Not sure about those 2 AWG cables on the BMS. Would love to up them to 2/0 AWG so they are not the weak point of the system. Mani circuit is fused with a 250A ANL fuse.

I've mildly considered this for the future of my project. I figured getting new plates machined for the ports and then attach new leads with an appropriate sized 2/0 lug.

I'm going to have to check and see what it would cost to get the plates machined. Or I wonder if I could just buy some copper bars and make my own. Then attach a post to it to mount the lug of the new cable to.

I don't have a picture, but I replaced one of the cables with the same size because the connecting lug got damaged. I actually used a crimp on lug that I trimmed up to sort of resemble Daly's, then drilled two small holes the same size as their screws. Seems to work without issue. This was on one of their 150amp versions w/the fan.

would love to see a photo of your work when you get a chance :)

I cut the “ring” off the end of the ring terminal and drilled two holes using the factory one as my guide. Not as good as factory but in my case I need that lead to have a larger ring terminal
