Given that it's a positive in/out, does it matter which terminal is coming from battery??
Cleans up wiring, if I can wire it in what seems backwards.
Does it protect regardless of direction???

If it is a polarized breaker then it does matter. There would be some indication on the side of it indicating if it is polarized.
