I have 3 Mission Solar 320 Watt Solar Panels connected in Parallel to my 40A Rich Solar controller charging 4 Battle Born 100AH Li batteries on my 5th wheel. I have noted the charging rate drops off after 5 or 10 minutes of charging. Theoretically I should be putting in 960 watts of power, and around 30 Amps. When I got to my 5th wheel the batteries were fully charged and the monitor was showing charging at 1 amp/36 watts. When I turned on the inverter and added a load the charge went to 21.86A/457W. After an hour of load and the batteries dropping down a 175 AH the charging rate dropped to 11.84A/359W. When I covered one panel I went to 10.40A/270W, and with two panels covered I had 5.24A/96W charging. Then back to 10.8A/201Ws charging when all uncovered. I had thought about adding a 4th panel, but if the charger is not able to use the power from 3 panels, there seems to be no point in adding a 4th panel. Why is my charging rate dropping? Any ideas would be helpful. Thanks
