I just swapped out a rosie on a friend's system. it has new firmware coming from the factory (warranty repair) and it won't let the desired battery voltage go above 56V. it is using SOK batteries that spec (I recall) 57.6V float.
am I missing something or do I need to change the firmware or use a different battery profile?

56V is more than enough to charge an SOK.
I would not float at 57.6V, ~54.2 or a bit lower.

Any more info on the original Rosie failure?

I am basing those numbers on SOK's literature. I understand that it's likely for allowing the passive top balancing.
no info on the failure. it was a fairly early one, and the symptoms match other cases, I'm guessing it was something that they discovered with the early ones, as there were no questions or anything, just an RMA number and very quick turn around from midnite. they were super fast.
